Results that speak for themselves.

Every engagement is different. What stays constant is our commitment to delivery. Here are four examples of what that looks like in practice — the challenge, the approach, and the measurable outcome.

Meridian Bank plc

ISO 20022 migration delivered on time after two failed attempts with previous vendors.

The Challenge

Meridian Bank had twice attempted to migrate its payments infrastructure to ISO 20022 — a mandatory requirement under the Bank of England's CHAPS migration programme — and failed both times, accumulating £4.2M in sunk costs and facing regulatory censure. With a hard deadline 14 months away, they needed a team that understood both the technical complexity and the regulatory stakes.

Our Approach

We deployed a senior team of payments architects and regulatory specialists who began with a forensic assessment of the two previous failures. The root cause was not technical — it was a lack of domain understanding at the programme leadership level. We restructured the delivery model, established a direct line to the Bank of England's migration team, and rebuilt the integration layer from scratch using a phased cutover approach that eliminated the big-bang risk that had derailed previous attempts.

"IT Financial Services delivered our ISO 20022 migration on time and within budget — something our previous vendor had failed to do twice. Their understanding of both the technology and the regulatory context was exceptional."

Northfield Insurance Group case study

Northfield Insurance Group

DORA compliance framework built and validated six months ahead of the regulatory deadline.

The Challenge

Northfield Insurance Group, a Lloyd's of London syndicate with operations across seven European jurisdictions, faced the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) deadline with no coherent compliance programme in place. Their existing IT risk framework was fragmented across business units, with no single view of ICT third-party risk, no tested incident response capability, and significant gaps in their threat intelligence function.

Our Approach

Our RegTech practice conducted a full DORA gap assessment across all five pillars — ICT risk management, incident reporting, digital operational resilience testing, ICT third-party risk, and information sharing. We then designed and implemented a unified compliance framework, built the required ICT register and third-party risk monitoring capability, and ran a TLPT (Threat-Led Penetration Test) to satisfy the advanced testing requirements. All work was coordinated directly with the PRA and FCA.

"The team's regulatory knowledge was as impressive as their technical capability. They didn't just build us a compliance framework — they made sure we understood it and could own it going forward."

Apex Capital Markets case study
Investment BankingData & Analytics

Apex Capital Markets

Enterprise data platform reduced regulatory reporting time from 5 days to 4 hours.

The Challenge

Apex Capital Markets was producing its MiFID II transaction reports manually, with a team of 12 analysts spending an average of five working days per reporting cycle reconciling data from 14 disparate source systems. The process was error-prone, expensive, and increasingly untenable as reporting volumes grew. A failed attempt to implement an off-the-shelf solution had left the firm sceptical of technology-led approaches.

Our Approach

We designed and built a modern data platform on Databricks, ingesting data from all 14 source systems through a unified medallion architecture. A purpose-built regulatory reporting layer automated the MiFID II transaction report generation, with built-in data quality checks, full lineage tracking, and an audit trail that satisfied FCA requirements. The platform was designed to be extensible — subsequent reporting obligations (EMIR, SFTR) were added without architectural changes.

"What impressed us most was that the platform they built didn't just solve today's problem — it gave us the infrastructure to handle whatever the regulators throw at us next."

Vantage Asset Management case study

Vantage Asset Management

Legacy portfolio management system replaced with cloud-native platform, cutting operational costs by 34%.

The Challenge

Vantage Asset Management was running its core portfolio management and order management systems on a 22-year-old on-premise platform that was no longer supported by its original vendor. The system was a single point of failure for £18B in AUM, could not integrate with modern data providers, and was preventing the firm from launching new fund structures demanded by institutional clients.

Our Approach

We led a phased migration to a cloud-native portfolio management platform on AWS, running the legacy and new systems in parallel for 18 months to eliminate cutover risk. Our team managed the full programme — vendor selection, data migration, integration with 23 third-party systems, regulatory approval, and staff training. The new platform was designed for resilience, with active-active deployment across two AWS regions and automated failover tested quarterly.
